Harris Lowry Manton LLP “Banded Together” for COVID-19

The team at Harris Lowry Manton LLP is pleased to announce the launch of the Banded Together campaign! We’re excited and we hope you will be as well. Banded Together has a two-pronged goal:

  1. To encourage COVID-19 vaccination throughout Georgia; and
  2. To help support the educational needs of children who have lost parents and guardians in the pandemic by creating and funding scholarship opportunities for those children.

Explains Jeff Harris, one of our founding partners, “We want to address vaccine hesitancy and encourage Georgia residents to get vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We know the past year has been a tough time for many families and want to do our part to support children who have lost parents or guardians due to Coronavirus.”

About Banded Together

Banded Together is an initiative to help encourage Georgia citizens get vaccinated. Maybe you’ve seen people wearing the bright green wristbands reading “PROUD TO BE VACCINATED – BANDED TOGETHER.” Harris Lowry Manton supplied the bands to vaccination centers across Georgia to get the word out about COVID-19 vaccination. You can find Banded Together wristbands at Fulton County Department of Health vaccination sites in Atlanta and at Coastal Health District of Georgia vaccination sites in Savannah.

“Our firm has always had a strong connection to the community and to the state we’re proud to call home,” said Steve Lowry, a founding partner. “We think it’s extremely important to raise awareness about Coronavirus vaccination in Georgia and to give back to help families in need.”

Additionally, the Banded Together Scholarship Fund will help support scholarships for Georgia students who lost a parent or guardian to COVID-19. You can also donate or sponsor the Banded Together fund if you would like to help.

Our commitment to community

The attorneys and staff at Harris Lowry Manton are proud to continue giving back to the community. Since our founding, we have dedicated ourselves to supporting a wide range of local causes.

For seven consecutive years, we have provided free hot lunches, giveaway items and more for local paramedics, firefighters, police officers and emergency medical responders in Savannah. Each fall, our firm’s partners present the Harris Lowry Manton Civil Justice Scholarship to an outstanding law student. In March and April 2020, we joined forces with Empire State South, a midtown Atlanta restaurant owned and operated by Chef Hugh Acheson, to donate 100 box lunches a day to local healthcare workers and first responders on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis. In April 2020, we collaborated with Nine Line Apparel to donate 1,000 free protective masks to Savannah-area first responders serving on the front line of the battle against the spread of the Coronavirus.
