Frankie Brown Named 2020 Winner of Harris Lowry Manton LLP’s Annual Civil Justice ScholarshipHarris Lowry Manton LLP is proud to announce that Frances “Frankie” Brown has been selected to receive the 2020 Civil Justice Scholarship. Ms. Brown is a 1L student at the University of Georgia School of Law. Prior to entering law school, she earned her B.A. in Sociology and Criminology from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA. She also worked as a paralegal at law firms in Athens.

“In reviewing the record number of applications we received this year, Frankie’s passion for the law and thoughtful essay about the right to trial by jury really stood out,” said partner Jed Manton. “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to recognize Frankie’s achievements and to invest in her future success as a trial lawyer by presenting her with the 2020 Harris Lowry Manton LLP Civil Justice Scholarship.”

Ms. Brown met with the partners in a virtual Zoom meeting. She told them that this scholarship will allow her to spend more time volunteering and pursuing leadership roles.

About the annual Harris Lowry Manton LLP Civil Justice Scholarship

The Harris Lowry Manton LLP Civil Justice Scholarship was created to help support the civil justice system by supporting the students who will keep it strong. Each year, the firm awards $5000 to one eligible student who is enrolled in, or has accepted a place in, an accredited law school for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must provide proof of enrollment, a recommendation letter, and an essay of up to 1,000 words on the importance of the right to a trial by jury. The firm is currently accepting applications for the 2021 academic year.
